purchase and tester
hap - 26-1-08 at 02:46 AM

I called Anderson this week and purchased some tools. Lance answered the the phone and took my order. After we finished he asked if I like using my bucket tester and said he has an electronic unit in development. He said it's going to be a lot more sensitive than my tester that measures water loss at thousands of an inch. I totally support Lance and his effort to make our job quicker. After close to a year of using my tester it's a tool that will always be on my truck.

Saw Lance demo the unit on 1-29 at the Atlantic City Pool show, very impressive, will reduce the old 24 hr bucket test to a 2 minute electronic test to measure loss. available in a few months, he is taking names for orders already

This video will show you how to make one. It's actually two vids on Youtube. This tester is also good for showing engineer customers what's really happening with water loss. They stare at it and leave me to my work. There's a little learning curve to use and trust it. Also it may inspire you to create more time saving tools that Anderson does not carry.

Very creative Hap!

What is the gauge indicator called so I know what to ask for at the hardware store... is it a caliper?

Thanks!

It's a dial indicator.
