DYE

Other than Lances dye leak testers, who has other dye holders / applicators that they prefer? And what color dye is most useful? I find much more fine control using a nasal spray bottle and the dye supply lasts for 3 or 4 entire pools before it needs a recharge, and I prefer red dye, Anybody else have a better idea they like.
Thanks
Bruce

The new formula holds together really well, much better, in my opinion, than the blue.

I like to use a 10cc syringe with a needle that has been flattened. Allows a very fine amount of dye to be used.

I don't think that they actually came out like a laundry detergent company and announced "buy the new, improved... blah, blah, blah" :D but that they reformulated their leak dye. It holds together much better when placed into the water. I think that the yellow performs better than the blue but that could be a misconception on my part. Either way, its a great product.

I like andersons dye. Both colors have their advantages. Blue is great in high light, the yellow turns flourescent in contact of chlroine or water and is great in low light areas like light niches. I use a 20 cc syringe, quick set tube and bottle setup i can draw up the dye in. its spill proof and seems to work great.
