Does any one know if the Fisher XLT30 can be used for finding water leaks on incoming residential 1" copper pipe water lines, from the street in?
Most of these lines are in the grass and if it can be used, how do you use it?
If you have any advice for me I'd appreciate it, or if you know of someone who is knowledgeable, please let me know.
Thanks
its probably going to be difficult in the absence of air in line to get any acoustics due to saturated soil. thats my guess
My advice would be to rent an underground wire/pipe detector from a rental facility. Tack it, plus your time to get and return it onto the bill!
