Investing in my supply of plugs. I have always bought brass but thinking of buying nylon. What plugs do you use the most? How many do you supply for each different plug?
I really like my nylon plugs, there easy to unscrew when your taking them out, i seem to always come up short on my plugs, I need to carry more for sure.
The new brass plugs come with an improved nylon wing nut, they are a BIG improvement over the old brass wing nuts, they turn better and you get no
corrosion, BTW you can upgrade your PT Kit to the new nylon wing nuts by calling Lance, he sells a set of wing nuts to allow you to change out the
whole kit.
I carry at least 6 plugs of each size from 130 - 160, in addition to the deluxe PT kit, I also carry 2 each of the inflatable plugs up to 8 inches.

Bruce do you carry more hook, closed or extended ?
Mize
I have not needed more closed hook or extended plugs beyond what comes in the Deluxe PT Kit
I have the Deluxe PT Kit and have added a lot to it to meet my needs:
- A large lockable toolbox to carry and store all the PT supplies
- Upgraded the PT gauge to the oil filled gauge
- Upgraded all the wing nuts to the new plastic ones
- A second PTester, so I can run water from low end and induce air from upper level at the same time
- Added an air regulator on the air side of the PTer
- Added extended air inducers for size 140 and 145
- Installed 18" inducer hoses on all the open stem plugs
- Added a #160 open stem plug for 2" lines
- Added 6 each economy closed plugs from size 130 - 160
- Added 1 each closed plugs #165 - 190
- I always carry threaded plugs in 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3, 4, 6, inch also
What you work on is the best guide, spas often determine the quantities needed, commercial pools have there own special needs
