under water mic. for xlt 17 (any luck?)
I have almost every device Anderson makes for finding leaks in pools. I purchased a mic. for my xlt 17 last year in an effort to save time dye
testings gunite shells. I can only hear the most obvious of leaks, never the small stuff. I have a friend in the Atlanta area who uses a mic with an
amplifier and can hear a conduit leak in a light w/ out removing the light. (leaktronics product) Am I doing something wrong? By the way I have had
great support from Anderson, and have been very successful with their products.

Fillters
You have to adjust the filter setting to get close to the frequency that the leak sound is generating. Try filling your bathroom sink with water and
place the mike into it. Turn the unit on and just barely crack the drain open. Adjust the filters to get the optimal sound for your ears. As you open
the drain a bit more you will have to adjust the settings but that's OK. Next time you use it and FIND a leak play with the filters again to learn
what works best for you.
