If you're going to market to the consumer, direct mail is usually the most economical route. Most people are going to throw the piece away though,
unless you happpen to get them when their pool is leaking.
What you should do is devise a marketing plan identifing your target markets whether it is pool service companies and/or pool owners.
Figure out how much you can spend and divide it up to cover more than 1 method.
The library (you might have to look that word up on google if you're under 30) has great books to help. My favorites are the Guerilla Marketing
books.

excellent advice fromsdewolfe. We also find we get a lot of calls by advertising leak detection on our trucks and every year we get more calls from
our web site. Andersons referal service is also starting to produce.

We just finished a series of BBQ lunches at our local pool supply warehouses. The response was great and the costs were relatively low.
We posted flyers and the next week, we set up a canopy and BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich while handing out our info.

I assume you are in Texas? Check your local IPSSA chapter for pool service provider meetings. They meet once a month for dinner (FREE) and a meeting.
The link to the Texas list is http://www.ipssa.com/regions_chapters.html#R9. Call your local president, tell them your story and that you'd like to come to
a meeting and possibly become a chapter supporter. If you don't do pool service (i.e. -weekly chem and clean) you can become a supporter for like
$150 a year. This is an excellent source to get in with pool guys and I receive a ton of work from them. It doesn't hurt to say you pay referral fee
(and, of course, do, but mainly on repair $). Outside of the $150 for IPSSA you only pay on what you get, a great deal.
