xlt30h battery problem
I have a Fisher xlt30h. The problem I'm having is I have a dead battery every time I go to use it. Only use about once every 2 months. Last time I
usedit,put in new batteries, then when I was done, took them out to prevent them from dying, one was so hot, I could barely hold it. xlt30 is about 2
years old, and only been used about a dozen times Has anyone else had this problem, any suggestions? Thanks

start with corrosion, then move to grounded positive post, make sure your batteries match. i own and use seven
different underground locators and have found that even new batteries can come off the shelf weak or even dead so i always check them with a
multi-meter. if none of this helps it's time to look inside the machine.
