problem pinpointing leak
Okay, this is my first time posting and I hope i can get some help. I am fairly new to leak detection in general. I have done quite a few and I think
I have had a good track record.
but I think I have mainly gotten lucky, because most of the leaks I come across are usually shell leaks. The problem I am having right now is a pool
with a leaking line. I cannot pinpoint it. I have the xlt30 device and I can hear the bubbling under a certain part of the deck, but I cannot tell
exactly where the leak is. I know I am supposed to listen for the loudest area, but it all sounds the same to me. What is the best way to narrow it
down. I am using the super snorkel compressor to put air in the line. How accurate should I really expect to be as far as pinpointing the area? within
1 foot? a 3ft square area? 5ft square? help plz

Change the place where you are putting in air and see if noise is in same spot.
XLT has filters that you can use to isolate the sound you are looking for.
Try less air.
Try drilling small holes and using probe with the other microphone.
