Hi from the U.K.!
Hi from the U.K.!
Anyone ever had trouble pin-pointing the Leak when the Leaking Line is buried in Pea-Shingle in the Over-Dig?
I've had one where the Return was leaking badly but I could NOT hear whereabouts the Leak was!
I suppose that the Shingle is Very effective in allowing the Water to Drain away further down, away from the air egress.......I thought that I'd be
away from Site within the Hour!!! Wrong!!!
(Found it with a 'guesstimate' in the End:- the only other sound, other than the comp. air in the Pipe, was an intermittant 'tick'.....the sound
of a piece of shingle falling?...Dunno but that's where it was! )
On a related point, Is the standard in the U.S. to use Glued A.B.S. pipe/fittings underground? I don't seem to have any trouble finding the Leaks
when it's glued Fittings, only on semi-flex. Alkathene pipes fitted to hosetails Pool/Plant Ends.....
Help and/or experiences v.Welcome!!
