how to mark multiple holes to patch
When you find multiple (small) holes with the leaktrac how do you mark them so you can find and patch when in the water???

If they are on a wall or steep slope I use chalk on the coping or deck, if on the bottom or the incline to the bottom I use coins that I marked red
with a sharpie and position the coin with the head of the leak trac, I have a handful of very thick coins from trips to Barbados and Honduras that are
easy to position. I use the coins when doing underwater inspections as well to mark holes. Customers watching also get a clear idea of what you are
finding as your dive/inspection is progressing, makes for good communication and I reward the children (my little helpers) with a coin to keep!

I use Pennies or Nickles, they have a square edge and can be moved easier with the probe. If it's on the side you can mark the coping , but still
have to rely on remembering the exact location of the hole. When the hole is on a horizontal plane and is a small leak, I try to position the coin
directly over the the hole so it's easier to find when I'm in the water.

I have successfully marked pool liners with multiple holes using cocktail toothpicks. I just stick them into the hole. The bright coloured ends are
easy to spot.

Hard to use toothpicks when holes are in deep end and you are on the deck with the Leaktrac. Good idea if you are underwater looking for leaks.

I HAVE BEEN MARKING ALL HOLES FOUND FROM THE POOL DECK, I USE A CHINA MARKER ATTACHED TO THE PROBE WITH RUBBER BANDS, I DRAW A CIRCLE AROUND THE
HOLE,THEN I MAKE THE PATCH BIGGER THAN THE CIRCLE ANDALSO PATCH THE HOLE FROM THE POOL DECK. I USED TO DIVE AND PATCH THE HOLES ,NOW I DO IT FROM THE
POOL DECK, HAVENT BEEN IN THE WATER TO PATCH IN AT LEAST 5 YEARS.

Okay JS what is your technique for patching from the deck. I have heard of different ways, but yet to find a "foolproof" method.

You are right reedpool. WE don't use cocktail toothpicks to mark multiple holes.

I use big washers. It is easy to position over the hole and easy to manover using the hole in the center of them.

I like to use a china marker. You can pick them up at almost any hardware store.
